South Africa's renewable energy plan announced

    South Africa announced a 20-year renewable energy plan to achieve 42% of new energy capacity from renewable energy resources.

    According DEWEY & LEBOEUF legal institutions, in the beginning of this year, investors noted that South Africa unveiled its new energy law-NERSA's consultation on plans to cut 42 percent of the investment tax.

    In NERSA completed and published the results of consultation before the South Africa Department of Energy had announced in June its processes, including synchronization with the tax plan price competition.

    Plans to purchase renewable energy technologies including wind, solar thermal, solar photovoltaic panels, biomass, biofuels, landfill gas and small water conservancy. The initial target plan to reach 3825MW by 2016 renewable energy capacity, and to enter commercial operation in the form.

   All project bids are in need of bank support, is about £ 9,133 per megawatt.
